I was thinking about who are our Marlins most compared to and wondered how good we could be.

 

1. Hanley Ramirez - Edgar Renteria

2. Dan Uggla - Marcus Giles

3. Miguel Cabrera - Albert Pujols

4. Josh Willingham - not sure, maybe someone has something. (Not Conine, because I think Willy is better)

5. Jeremy Hermida - Brian Giles

6. Mike Jacobs - Jason Giambi (maybe?)

7. Miguel Olivo - I'll get killed for this but he reminds me of a poor man's Pudge.

8. Reggie Abercrombie - Once called a 5 tool player, maybe Beltran?

no on Jacobs, Olivo, Abercrombie.

Olivo is a poor mans Molina...not Bengie or Yadier, but the other one.

Jose Molina! Thats it. I'll forget that in a few minutes and he'll go back to being the unnamed Molina brother, but I'd say him and Olivo are about equal, neither are more than average backups at best.

While I dont think Beltran is as good as alot of people think, he does in fact have more potential than Abercrombie. Solid bat+good defense, I'd say I hope Abs could turn into a Mark Kotsay type.

Mike Jacobs is a Mike Sweeney clone

Cabrera does remind me of Schmidt or even George Brett
