Posted May 20, 200618 yr Just felt like saying it. he and Hanley Ramirez (and Dan Uggla as of late), are the only reason I haven't jumped off a bridge lately. It's gonna be fun watching these guys develop into future All Stars.
May 20, 200618 yr Relax on Willingham and Uggla becoming all stars. They will be solid players but doubtful all stars. They are both entering their prime. Willingham is an OFer and has to much competition and as much as I like Uggla, it's only been a few ABs. Hermida and Ramirez are the 2 I would label as future all stars along with some pitchers.
May 20, 200618 yr yep he does..but uggla does more. willy's been struggling his AVG was down to .278 or something last night which surprised me cause it seems like he's been ripping every pitch in sight
May 20, 200618 yr Author what are you basing all this love of Hermidia on? Everyone thought he was the second coming of Jesus after that Grand Slam last year, but what has he done so far this season? HIs number were far from impressive and than he got hurt. You can throw his minor league numbers at me, but for every star who did well in the minors, I'll show you three who couldn't hack it in the pros.

Relax buddy....Hermida's walks alone show that he will be a Brian Giles type player at worst. He has unmatched talent. You're right, he may not live up to expectations but he's a top 5 prospect in all of baseball. He's better than Hanley Ramirez and you will see that in the future.

May 21, 200618 yr Willingham got back on track tonight, going 3 for 4 with an RBI (30). His BA is back up to .290. :thumbup
May 21, 200618 yr Willy looks good even when he goes into a bit of a slump...he is such a huge presence at the plate. He will have a very good major league career. LF is the perfect spot for him, he will get a lot better defensively. I hate to admit I never expected him to be this good of a hitter at this level...I can't think of another teamthat wouldn't want him in their lineup
