Did any members attend Dinner on the Diamond today?

I went and it was pretty cool. Got Miggy's, Treanor's and Uggla's autographs. Uggla was the coolest. With a middle name like Cooley, he has to be. Didn't see Hanley, though. Reggie was there, Girardi, Moehler, Messenger, Borchard, D-Train was there for a minute. Other players and coachers were there, but I didn't recognize them in their street clothes. I thought they were people from the front office.

Saw Bonds hit 715 on the Jumbotrons.

Everyone received a baseball to get autographs and we got a gift when we left.

Despite the loss, it was a pretty good day.

Awesome. Do you have any pictures to share? What was the gift you got? Sorry I am nosey :lol .

Was Hermida there with his wife/fiancee? :confused .

I really want to go next year. Hopefully my mom and I can get tickets early. She wants to go too!

Hermida was there, but I didn't see him with anybody. Josh Johnson was there holding hands with some chick. I didn't get any pictures. Sorry. We got an insulated wine bottle cooler thing with a knife/corkscrew/bottle opener gadget.

JJ is married. Thats why I asked about Jeremy because Marlins on Deck mentioned the food drive where the players wives collected food and I saw a lady with a Hermida uni on. I was confused because I really thought Jeremy wasn't married. I feel so old now. *Sorry for rambing*

Cool gift. Kinda goes with the "picnic" theme. I am glad you had fun!

was the Baseball an Offical Major League Baseball?

No. It has the 10th Anniversary Dinner on the Diamond logo on it.

It's not hard to get tickets. Just expensive. $200 for adults. Don't remember the kids price. There was a lot to do, though. Raffles, silent auction, open bar, buffet in the bullpen, bounce house, facepainting, speed pitch, balloon animals.

Thanks. I really want to go next year but I don't have $200 laying around. Argh. I want to meet my favorite players (All the Marlins).

I was able to go only because I still had some tax refund money left. Since I didn't get to go to the Awards dinner in Feb, I decided on DOTD.

Dinner on the Diamond was pretty awesome...Most of the players were out there signing and taking pics...They were really nice about it and were talking and hanging out with all the fans there...I got pics with most of the players (REGGIE!!) and Loria and Girardi were also there talking with fans...it was a really cool event and since its for charity it was worth it:) Would have been nicer if the Marlins had won, but what can you do:)...

That's who you are! I was standing close to you when Miguel was signing and taking pictures. How cool is that?

Only $200? I would have contributed a lot more had I been there. Three good causes (and you think I'm just a lowly troll ;) )
