MTV has abruptly pulled the plug on The New Tom Green Show ? just weeks after the music channel renewed the latenight talker for an additional 65 episodes. "Despite critical acclaim, [the show]was unfortunately unable to sustain the initial ratings success it enjoyed in its earlier weeks," an MTV spokeswoman tells TV Guide Online. "Tom remains a part of the MTV family, and we look forward to working with him in the future." MTV shouldn't hold its breath: Sources say Green is already shopping the show elsewhere. The New Tom Green show wasn't even the funniest show on MTV, let alone television. Check that it wasn't funny. The skits he does are only funny for so much until they get boring.

October 24, 200322 yr what they should've done is just have a weekly 2/3 hour show. Every show would have 1 funny skit, 2 if lucky, some boring interviews (an occasional good one), and a bunch of filler material. Plus, he needs to ditch Glen Humplink

October 27, 200322 yr He quit the show back in 2000 because of his testicular cancer, but MTV brought him back to do a late night talk show but his interview skills sucked and he didn't have good guests so they canceled it after a couple months and replaced it with a dance competition show
