What are they gonna do with him? He hasnt been used in almost a week. He isnt getting any work in up here they need to send him back down so he can start some games. I hope they arent trying to turn him into a reliever.

Maybe because Joe is not dumb enough to put a vet who's making a mil this year which on this team is considered expensive and throw Petit in the fire, let Petit sit and learn, no point in rushing since we're not going to the playoffs this year...

Well he's not being rushed, thats for sure.

 

He's been on the roster since May 13th, and has made 7 appearances totaling 7 innings.

 

He's pitched once in June.

 

You dont rush him, but you dont sit him constantly either.

i agree, put moehler in the pen whether he's got the hot hand or not. put petit or someone (annibal maybe?) in moe's place. of course the team may be keeping brian in the rotation to deal him at the trade deadline..that's always a possibility. maybe we can package herges, moehler, and borowski for a prospect.

Herges, Moehler, and Borowski might, if we shipped them in the same deal, get us Justin Wayne back.

Ask yourself what's the very best we could of got for Todd Jones last year at the deadline.

 

Now when you comeup with a reasonible player that we could of got for Todd Jones, think of one thats not nearly as good and in a lower level...maybe A ball...and thats what we MIGHT get for Borowski.

Moe's ERA is horrible, I expect him out of the rotation by ALL-STAR break, move Petit in there...I also see Borowski probably getting traded by deadline...
