Tim Kurkjian is a total moron. How can he say we don't have a good team. We only lack experience, the talent is there. What a tool. Because the Marlins don't have a inflated payroll they're not a good team. I'd like to twist Kurkjian in to a pretzel. That is pure ignorance. Then if they wind up winning 10 in a row, that loser, Tim will say, "The marlins are a talented young ballclub that are actually proving alot of critics wrong."

Guys, your rampant homerism here is honestly making me a little sick.

I love the Marlins. We all do.

They didn't call them a bad team. He said that we weren't a "good team" and guess what? HE'S RIGHT. There are only 4-5 good teams in the league and we aren't one of them. Try not to let your allegiance to the team cause you to say things that probably aren't true.

Tim Kurkjian said the Marlins were a 'bad team'. Don't tell me what I heard, because I was watching it with intense curiosity. Have a nice day.

There are only 4-5 good teams in baseball? That's a laughable and ignorant comment in itself--not to mention your argument's premise was wrong to begin with.

Not Good = Bad.

If you see things in black and white then that's true but there is Mediocre, Excellent, Average, Awful, Awesome......In your world there must have been no B's, C's, D's or E's because it's either good or bad.

PS.....it's retarded already that there's a damn thread for every mention of the Marlins on ESPN....All it is, is you people overreacting to what they say good or bad......WHO CARES WHAT THE TALKING HEADS SAY!!!! The only truth they can say is that attendance sucks and that no one goes to the games.

Not Good = Bad.

To me when someone says to me something is not good. I think its bad.

Okay...

A- Excellent

B- Great

C- Okay, decent

D- Not good, Meh, Bad

F- Horrible.

Get my point? So in my opinion they are rating this team a D.

If you recall, Kurkjan was the guy who in 2003 said there was no way the Marlins would win the Wild Card. He still has that sh*t taste in his mouth from that comment.

:lol :thumbup

So true. If I recall correctly, the only guy that ever gives us any props is Harold Reynolds who happens to be the only guy worth watching on that show.

So Kurkjian said the Marlins were a bad team. Why is that such a horrible thing? The Marlins are, after all, 11 games under .500. I would say the Marlins are playing great ball right now but I'm not ready to say they are a good team. If they continue playing well for 2 or 3 weeks I may change my mind. This is the typical "we never get any credit" complain. Tommy Hutton has been whining endlessly about Uggla not getting any credit at the same time Uggla came in 2nd in the Rookie of the Month award which is an award voted on by the media so if he came in 2nd that means lots of media people voted for him and if lots of media people voted for him it means he was getting plenty of credit and it should be noted he came in 2nd to Josh Johnson.

I wasn't aware the media voted on that...

Anyway, my complaint was that Kurkjian called them the second best team since May 22nd (almost a month) in the same sentence that he called them bad. A bit hypocritical.

Do you have cotton in your ears? Cause Jerkjian did say the Marlins are a BAD team.

The Marlins are still 11 games under .500.

They aren't playing like that team in April, but on the season, they are not a good team. And stop worrying about what ESPN thinks.

They aren't playing like the team in April b/c it's a different team. Herges is a mopup guy now. Ross is in Reed is out. Hermida is back. German gone Kensing in. Wellmeyer gone Martinez in. Mitre gone Nolasco in

yea if they(the buisnessmen of the marlins) made decisions based on internet GEEKDUM then you would be considered a good investment and a strong (whiney) but strong fanbase >>but since nobody goes to the games >> well... there ya have it :lol
