July 26, 200619 yr Save his last couple power outings, I haven't been that impressed with Ross in a Marlins jersey.
July 26, 200619 yr Save his last couple power outings, I haven't been that impressed with Ross in a Marlins jersey. he's a very very very streak hitter.... he could carry us for another 7 games or so but they he'll get very very cold(thus what a streaky hitter is )
July 26, 200619 yr Ross' potential > Willingham's potential I have no idea where you got that from... Who cares Willingham was once a top 100 prospect, he's a bust. Ross is younger and I believe is better.

July 26, 200619 yr Whats the different in age arent they both 25 I could be wrong?? willingham is 27, and ross will turn 26 late this year. By "late this year," you mean Dec. 23. Willy turns 28 less than two months later. Ross is essentially two full years younger than Willingham.
July 26, 200619 yr Good lord.. cut Willy some slack. All it takes is a good month from him and everyone will be back on his side. It's his rookie season, let him make some adjustments to major league pitching for chrissakes. I still think he can be a jason bay type player, but thats just me.
July 26, 200619 yr Ross' potential > Willingham's potential I have no idea where you got that from... Obviously a few years ago I would have said Willingham has all the potential in the world. But he's just not developed at the rate that would make him an everyday starter on a MLB roster. I understand he's a rookie, but he is also 27 years old. His main asset is his power but it isn't going to get any better, and he's been known to fall victim to the injury bug. It's starting to look like his actual potential might be lower than the raw potential attributed to him a few years ago. Ross is two years younger and really only has one glaring area that needs work, consistent contact hitting. This should improve with major league coaching.

Or maybe because between a few years ago and now, Willingham has not been given the challenges to improve his game. A repeat of the same in AA, Junkballers and Coors Field parks in AAA, the bench in the majors. Yet another reason for Ross to get playing time... over the very slow developing questionable talent ABercrombie
July 27, 200619 yr Cody could use some plate discipline too You're right, he could. Yet another reason for Ross to get playing time... over the very slow developing questionable talent ABercrombie Right, I definitely rate Willingham higher than Abercrombie. I was speaking about the near future (probably next year), under the assumption that we will hopefully get a real CFer.
