February 14, 200719 yr Nicholson is more redundant than either of them. Agreed. Nicholson is just more entertaining to me than the others. But, yeah he could get an Oscar nod for taking a dump. I'd like to see him take a chance on some Indy film, but he wouldn't ever.
February 15, 200719 yr Just finished watching it today for the first time. A-mazing. I havent been so excited over a Scorsese movie since GoodFellas, and this fits right behind it. DiCaprio was great (as usual). The guy has to get his due one of these days. Mark Wahlberg was good, though i dont understand his Oscar nomination (he had like 5 lines of dialogue and was in the film for a total of 8 minutes, give or take). Alec Baldwin was hilarious..."I'm going for a smoke. Do you smoke. No, you dont. Youre probably one of those health nuts. Go f*** yourself" and "Marriage is important, it lets people know youre not gay". Great, great, great, great flick.
February 15, 200719 yr I finally saw this movie last week and it has to be my favorite 2006 movie, I'm just dissapointed I waited this long to see it. Everything was top notch, and many just about every single movie nowadays lacks that type of quality, so The Departed was both refreshing and enjoyable. February 17, 200719 yr I just hate A List actors in general. I'm ecstatic when I see a preview for an intriguing movie with a bunch of no names. Agreed. I stick to my opinion that a lot of people (not pointing any fingers at anyone involved in this discussion) mistake good actors, for just liking the actor as a person.
