and this one i blame it on willie.

and if i have to pick a starter for game 7 of world series i will place my money on heilman. the guy is the best pitcher on our staff and is getting misused.

God. This place is full of drama queens and children after EVERY loss. It's so pathetic. There is NOTHING devestating about ONE loss at the end of a succesful road trip in August with a 15 game lead.. That is ridiculous..

You are..undoubtedly...the dumbest S-O-B I've ever had the displeasure of adding to my ignore list.

Is this your 45th "Most devastating loss"...or 46th? Oh well..dunno why I didnt just do this before. I'll certaintely never have the misfortune of reading them atleast.

if willie were throwing the ball id agree, but heilman walked 2 guys, and left a fastball right there to cabrera... he is throwing the ball, make the pitches or it is his fault! all willie did was tell a major leaguer to do a major league job! that is why they make millions!

Amen to that.

So Heilman was horrible. The Mets scored 1 run. 1 run. That doesn't win games no matter what pitching does (I don't EXPECT shutouts).

The first game of this series was far more devastating a loss than this, well pitched (except H) game.

Perhaps if hitters Reyes, PLD, Beltran, and Delgado could produce or even gotten a hit tonight we could have won too.

And if Woodward didn't strand so many people on base.

I thought the most devastating loss was the last one. Or, was it the one before that?

Oh, I know, each loss is more devastating than the one before, so each one is the most devastating when it happens! I get it!

For the record, I think it was a bad call by Willie tonight but Heilman was pretty bad too and has been the majority of the year. I hope he turns it around..

I need beer.

I know it might be a contradiction in terms but is there an intelligent Mets messageboard?

Amazinz.com is the only thing close to one.

Theres some good mets blogs out there. Forgot the URLs tho, my buddy thats a mets fan always goes on them

Imagine how they would've been had we won the game on Wednesday also, that would've been great.

METS FAN TALKING ABOUT WILLIS

General - What is Dontrelle's PROBLEM? Subscribe

From: emcala 10:20 am

Dontrelle Willis ... like ... what is this guys problem? Seriously. He is WAY too cocky. He walks around like he owns the field. You know what I dont like about him? Hes way too Hip Hop ... with his crooked hat. God ... hes such a thug. Did you see him yelling at the umpire? He has no respect. Hes a cancer to the Marlins clubhouse ... its a good thing we didnt trade for him. He should just go out there and pitch ... there is no need for the way he acts on the field ... he shouldnt carry himself like that. Other teams might get upset. If he does that again he should be sent to AAA or benched and fined so he learns his lesson.

As ignorant a statement as can be made. Are you racist or jealous?

The guy is a stud pitcher and from all reports sounds like a great guy...who cares how he wears his hat. His enthusiasm and energy are awesome. Wish he was a Met!

Heres are some steps for the "sarcasm challenged".

1: Look at all the threads bashing Milledge on this board.

2: Look at my threads in support to Milledge.

3: Look up the word "sarcasm" in the dictionary.

4: Realize the link between my sarcasm that I made with Dontrelle Willis and Lastings Milledge.

:)

Did you see him celebrate after the double plays? What a hot dog? This kid is only 23 years old, he should be disrecpecting the ump like that. Oliva had to hold him back. I didn't know Willis had such an attitude problem. And did you see how he wears his hat? What a thug.

Yeah I never liked him either, although he is very talented. In interviews he comes across very personable, outgoing, likable and articulate but on the mound he does go out of his way to being and acting like a "kid". In the Marlins win the other night he was jumping up and down so high like they won the pennant. Unfortunately, I do think it's all real. I don't think he is showing the opposition up. He is just one very enthusiastic baseball player.

I want to start by saying the first poster is a total idiot. He crtitism of Dontrell Willis is the most inaccuarate stupid piece of analais I have ever read.

That being said. I am sick and tired of every single time somebody has negative comments about a player that happens to be african american someone calls him a racist.
