Sharapova wiped the court with Mauresmo in the first set, 6-0 but now Mauresmo is up on 5-4 in the 2nd and if she wins this set it would be the first set Sharapova has lost all tournament. Edit: And it's going to a 3rd set!

Most of it probaby has to do with the fact that he isn't an American but what he is doing right now has been rarely approached before in his sport or any sport and dominance like this doesn't happen often.

September 10, 200620 yr nice - like federer and really do not like roddick i just wish there was a consistent opponent for federer to feed off of - i think that is what hurts him, he really doesn't have a rival out there at the french he'll have to deal with nidal and in the US open roddick - but aside from that he really doesn't see either of those guys
September 11, 200620 yr Author Nadal will absolutely own the tour in a couple of years. He's only 19, and is already the Clay Court stud. I believe he also surfaced in Wimbledon (?). He'll be real good.
September 11, 200620 yr nadal will never be anything off clay - his game is perfectly suited for that style - he may make some changes in his style, but at this point it's hard to see i think he'll dominate on clay for a long, long time - but will have trouble winning any other top level tournaments - he may make a run, but he'll never be one of the top 4 or 5 guys on a different surface the mens game really does need some more stars though - it would be good if he did round out
September 11, 200620 yr Author Oh, I disagree. Like I said, he's still only 19 (edit, just turned 20 this summer), and the last couple of years he has made a run at those other surfaces. You'll see, in a couple of years he'll have mastered hard court.
September 11, 200620 yr i just don't think he is strong enough or his return game that great to be a true force on hardcourt -a consistent top 4 kind of guy - i see him maxing out in that 5-10 range but we'll see personally I wouldn't mind seeing some of the power taken out of the mens game - it's become kind of boring
September 11, 200620 yr Author While I agree that a finesse game would be more fun, I still think you can have contention and entertainment within the tour. Roddick just has to find his penis and he'll be fine.
