Lefty
If only Bodog was as dumb. Back on June 18th (just as The Marlins were finishing off their sweep of Toronto), BoDog was giving them 800-1 to win the World Series. Somebody :whistle jumped on that pretty quick and the odds plummeted. :lol :lol :lol :lol Sorry, I'm calling you out on that. You'll have to show me a screen shot of that. How does one produce a screenshot of something that hasn't existed since June 18th? I thought you said that you took the bet?

And if the IRS/FBI is monitoring this, that "somebody" could be in trouble since Internet gambling is illegal. Let's just say I happened to be cruising the various sportsbooks back in June and noticed the odds.

The servers are offshore, so it's all good.

Report your gaming income and you are fine. Bet On Sports had shady operations.
pierremvp1
Since when do bookies have to open their books and pay taxes. . . . Actually....surprisingly always. According to IRS law if you're a bookie, bank robber, carjacker, or criminal of any sort, you are required to report your criminal gains on your tax return. . . As for BetonSports and other PUBLIC gaming sites. If they're selling stock in England, they're books are public. And reporting only 20 million in profits on 1.7 Bilion booked sounds shady to me. Should be 170 million in profits. I guess there was $150 million in "expenses". My Internet connection only costs me $250 a year. Those guys got a bad deal. pierremvp1
You can still get 25/1 on the NLCS. Or 9/1 on the Wild Card. The wild card is the better bet. If they win the wild card, then you can bet your winnings on the division series where the Marlins will be 3/2 underdogs. If they win that you now have 24/1. You could then parlay that on the NLCS where the Marlins would be 2/1 underdogs. If they win that you would win 72 dollars for each dollar bet. Or, you could go ahead and parlay that into the World Series, where again the Marlins would be at least 2/1 underdogs. If they won that you'd get back 225/1, even at this late date. That's a lot better than 250/1 before the season even started. As of today. On the Marlins.

pierremvp1
How can you be so sure about those odds? I've made a few wagers in my life and I've seen enough numbers(odds). Against the Dodgers, the number would be 160-180. Against the Mets, the number would be 210-250. If by chance the Mets lost, the number against the Cards would be 180-210.
