name your top 5 prospects that should have gotten at least a september call up this season?

 

 

i simply cant name alot but to me the most obivious are

 

1.gio gonzalez, phillies

2.homer bailey, reds

3.j.a happ, phillies

Gio had a 4.42era this year for Reading, to go with a 7-11 record

 

he walked 77 in 148 innings

 

why did he deserve a callup?

 

Happ made all of 12 starts in AA and while he pitched well, do the Phillies really need to add him in the middle of a playoff chase?

 

Homer Bailey is dead on though... Reds could use some more pitching

Would've liked to seen Alex Gordon or Billy Butler get a cup of coffee this year.

 

Also wanted to see Ryan Braun up with the big club, but maybe thats just my Miami bias talking. (Although he's having a solid year I think in AA)

 

And yes, I'm pissed about Bailey. I really don't know what else he has to prove down in Chatty.

Both Alex Gordon and Billy Butler clearly do, however. It's not like the Royals have anything to lose at this point in the season.

I wished the Giants had called up Tim Lincecum...our season's over anyways, so why not bring him up, see what he can do...the Tigers did it with ANdrew Miller when they're in the middle of a pennant race
