Tiger44
Marlins are now in 2nd place in the WC race but not listed as a separate entry in WS and NLCS wagering. The odds for the top five in the NL Wild Card (WS and NLCS respectively): San Diego: 17-1 and 6-1 Field: 25-1 and 10-1 Philly: 35-1 and 10-1 Cincy: 40-1 and 12-1 San Fran: 40-1 and 14-1 So why is Florida being lumped into the "Field"? My guess: So much money is going on The Marlins, BoDog is trying to "hide" them.
yandro
I was in Vegas about 2 months ago and the odds on the Marlins winning the World Series were 100-1. I couldn't pass up the opportunity and put down ten bucks. So if the unthinkable were to happen, that's $1000 coming my way! This team has been just unbelievable and they are playing with all heart. There's no reason why they can't clinch the wild card. Once they are in the post season, anything can happen!!!! LET'S GO FISH!

Two months ago, we probably had less than a 5% chance of making the playoffs. Even once you make the playoffs, it's a crapshoot (1-in-8), pushing odds well below 1%. I would have had a hard time making that bet back then, but maybe that's why I'm not a gambler.
pierremvp1
Forget about 2 months ago, it's possible to get 100/1 on the Marlins winning the World Series RIGHT NOW. On wsex.com, you can bet the Marlins to win the wild card. As of 1 minute ago, you put up $19. If the Marlins win the Wild Card you get back $100. Now bet that $100 on the Marlins in the NLDS, where they will be a 7/5 underdog. If they win that you then have $240. Now bet the $240 on the Marlins in the NLCS, where they will be 2/1 underdogs. If they win you would then have $720. Now bet the $720 on the Marlins in the Worls Series, where they would be 2/1 underdogs(at least). If they win that you would then have $2160. That works out to 113/1.

TheDon
I regret not reading Ramp's post quik enough a few weeks ago when he mentioned that he found Marlins to clinch Wild Card at 100/1. :banghead But Im still loving the 250/1 that I got on April 6th for the Fish to win the World Series ($5 to win $1,250.00) Oh and the $20 to win $2,200.00 I put down on the Fish to win the NLCS isnt too shabby either. pierremvp1
I got 33/1 on the Marlins winning the wild card just 3 weeks ago. On wsex.com....And it's an interactive bet, which means you can buy and sell it anytime. I've recently sold enough of it so I've already doubled my money and I'm still in with house money to win over a grand if the Marlins win the Wild Card. Then if I want I can bet on the NLDS, NLCS, and WC. If the Marlins win it all then I can parlay the original bet and wind up getting about 750/1. And this was on a bet made just 3 weeks ago.
