I was in Vegas about 2 months ago and the odds on the Marlins winning the World Series were 100-1. I couldn't pass up the opportunity and put down ten bucks. So if the unthinkable were to happen, that's $1000 coming my way! This team has been just unbelievable and they are playing with all heart. There's no reason why they can't clinch the wild card. Once they are in the post season, anything can happen!!!! LET'S GO FISH! Two months ago, we probably had less than a 5% chance of making the playoffs. Even once you make the playoffs, it's a crapshoot (1-in-8), pushing odds well below 1%. I would have had a hard time making that bet back then, but maybe that's why I'm not a gambler. If you ever get the chance to put down $10 and get $1000 do it, dont even think of the odds

My power rankings would be (note that mine are based on who I wouldnt want to play right now) Minnesota Florida (because unlikes some of the other teams we have something to play for and thats a dangerous thing) Yankees (that lineup is murder) Mets The Ryan Howards....errr Phillies Oakland I think I lot of those teams could be flip flopped

Josh hasnt been pitching all that well since the All Star break (Not terrible either, just not as well as he was) While Anibal has been nearly unhitable in his first 14 starts If everyone keeps pitching the way they are Dontrelle Anibal Johnson/Olsen Olsen/Johnson Whoever has the hot had gets the #3 spot, Scotty has dominated lately

Im sure its not fact but it does seem like whenever an offense scores 10+ runs they come back with between 1-4 the next night

Has anyone noticed when Anibal starts, Ross has a GREAT game. He was responsible for some of Sanchez' other wins too. the 1-0 game over WSH and the 2 homers he hit against ATL in a 2-1 win. :mischief2 Maybe Anibal corks his bat before the games :shifty lol

Amezega won't drop switch hitting because no matter how bad he hits righty, his value will be higher if he is a switch hitter. Now does that help the Marlins? No, but it's the truth. Well, its semantics. Not picking an argument, but how could he have a higher value regardless of the pitcher. 3 for 39 on the right side does not provide value-start Cody. It gives Amezega and only Amezega more value. Being a switch hitter makes him more valueable on the market. Not if teams look at the splits though. Yeah teams will look and say 'hey that guy hits from both sides' but when they look at the numbers they should say 'no actually he can only hit from the left' If anything it should decrease his value, I'll take a guy who hits 260 from the left side only over a guy who hits 275 from the left and 081 from the right

We have an edge games one and two but its only an edge on paper Josh hasnt pitched all that great since the all-star break and Anibal could have a post no-hitter let down. We have to go out there and play our hardest every game and hopefully good things happen

If Uggla wins a gold glove it will truely be a miracle (read the rest before you say anything) He came into this orginization as a guy with a pretty good bat, but who always had troubles fielding, Perry Hill is a miracle worker, If you told Arizona he would develope like this with the glove he would be a Diamondback still
