October 17, 200619 yr Batting average so overrated. For me, 40 home runs, 100 RBIs, the best teammate you will ever meet, a career OBP up around 400, and a guy about to enter his prime is pretty damn good.
October 17, 200619 yr If Dunn gets tradeds this offseason his 2008 contract would now become a player option and he would have a choice to either pick it up or become a FA.

October 17, 200619 yr Allow me to quote "myself" because everyone seemed to miss it, so busy were they to condemn me for being wrong in their judgement. I said... "...I'm not here to say you don't have a valid POV, because you do. " For me 40 homeruns, a .230 batting average and $11 million for one year isn't worth a starting pitcher and your starting first baseman who combined with make under $700,000 in 2007. You have your POV, I had mine. Somehow I think there's room for both. Never disagreed with that part. Here's what I said about Dunn. Now for the Marlins, he might be a bad fit FINANCIALLY and COMPENSATION wise... but PRODUCTION and ABILITY with Adam Dunn is not and will never be an issue for years to come. I'm only contending you are off your rocker thinking he is not productive because you said he is a "low" and "mediocre" presence. That's crazy talk. Adam Dunn is a MASSIVELY above average offensive force.

RBI isnt a very good talent evaluator Of course it is, Adam Dunn has full control of whoever bats in front of him.
October 18, 200619 yr I think a team that plays in an extreme pitcher's park (Pads?) could maximize his value...he also needs some to light a fire under his ass. He's generally known as a great clubhouse guy, but it might be equally as known that he's lazy and unmotivated (hence declining numbers and bad defense...Dunn is not a bad athelete despite his size).
