October 7, 200323 yr Johnny Damon and Damion Jackson were each going after a fly ball and than collided with each other's head....right in the temple Damian Jackson got up and still is dazed while David Ortiz led him to the dugout. NEaring the dugout steps the Boston fans were cheering, noticing the Jackson was gonna be ok. An A's fan started yelling insults at Jackson and Ortiz, and Ortiz had to be physically restrained from going after the fan in the stands....He pointed the fans out to police officers and the fan was grabbed and escorted out of the game by police officers. Damon meanwhile is lying on the field in shallow center while an ambulance has been pulled in after him. He's being strapped in and a board has been placed under his neck just in case there has been spinal damage. Damn was talking and raised his hand to the crowd while strapped into the stretcher before being driven off the field. WOW

October 7, 200323 yr Trust me, this is one of those collisions that's really painful to watch. It was that bad. Just said Damon has a concussion, is conscious, and may be kept overnight in a hospital. Considering how bad that collision looked, that's great news.
