Well as far as the Heats chances go....

Caron Butler, and D'Wayne Wade give you guys a solid overlook for the future.

Brian Grant and Eddie Jones need to be the leaders on this team and show some discipline.

Lamar Odom needs a breakout season this year to become the guy that Pat Riley thinks he will be or already is.

Other then that I couldn't help but notice you guys have former flops from my T'Wolves...

Cherokee Parks and Loren Woods. Good luck with both of them. Parks is a jerk, and Loren Woods never stops whining.

Overall though I expect D'Wayne Wade not to be a world beater, but I think he'll be the better then average rookie by scoring 15-20 pts. per night.

Really I see your season hinging on Lamar Odom, and Jones. I want to see how the egos can get along.

Kind of like in Minnesota with my puppies.

i remember Loren when he was in college, was never there when needed. totally disapeared in the 2nd half against Duke (bastard, i fell in love with Zona BBall when i lived there)

$5 that Spree goes after Saunders

I gotta feeling the heat are playoff material this year it just depends on how you do your homework and use those materials, which is why riley is the coach he know's how to use his material.

Ron Artest has some serious issues. did anyone hear the latest drama going on with him and the team?

he yo-yo's the ball to and away from the ref, gets T'd up, Carlisle takes him out of the game and than Artest says if he's going to be pulled from games for that than he doesnt want to be with the Pacers anymore. it seems like a little thing compared to other stuff he's done, but he needs to stop with the bulls***. i think i heard he's on the trading block but im not sure

There's a lot of teams that would take him too. It's the classic "we can tame him" project coaches love.

Denver would take him, i heard they're giving Dennis Rodman a tryout.

Lakers? Jackson might think he could control him like he did Rodman but i dont think they have anything to give the Pacers

i think .294 is a pretty good MLB avg.

i heard Sebastian Telfair, the great PG from Brooklyn is going to go to Louisville instead of the NBA as was expected. he would've been the 1st point guard to skip college. i think its a good move on his part, that position is a difficult position to adjusted to in the NBA if your coming out of college so imagine if your coming straight out of highschool

Ic interesting....Telfair is awesome, I can't believe he would go to college. Hey, have you ever heard of Shaun Livingston. He's from Peoria, Illinois, which is about an hour or a little bit more than that south of me. I've seen him play a few times, and he's unbelieveable. Not sure where he wants to go to school, but he is going to be a star.

it sounds familiar but im not sure i have. didnt he and Telfair meet up last year in one of those ABCD camps and played in this game that was highly touted?

Yeah, and most people, if not all, said that Livingston outplayed Telfair and was the star of the tournament. Check out college basketball recruting on espn.com to find more stuff on both guys, they are both top 5 recruits IIRC.

i know who your talking about now. i heard the same thing about Livingston outplaying him

yeah....Livingston is the best prospect in the northwest/west central illinois region since Ricky Davis.

EDIT: Davis might have actually been from the Iowa side of the quad cities, but either way, Livingston is the best prospect in my area since Davis.

iverson at least shoots close to 40% generally.

29% will simply not cut it.

LeBron will be fine. Is he overrated??? Yes, BY A LOT!!! I personally think Carmelo Anthony will be a better NBA player. But is LeBron going to be a good player?? Definitely, he's just adjusting to the NBA right now. Going from playing 16, 17, and 18 year old kids to playing some of the world's greatest athletes is a big adjustment, and everyone knew from the start that James outside shooting game needed improvement.

lebron will be good baring injury.

but his shooting is one glaring weakness right now.

Carmelo will be better, even when LeBron's shooting improves. The only reason LeBron went ahead of Carmelo was that LeBron is flashy, and Carmelo isn't. Simple as that IMO.

i like carmelo more than lebron anyway.

so i would tend to believe that assesment.

carmelo did just lead his team to an NCAA title.

Yeah, leading your team to an NCAA national title means more than leading your team to an Ohio high school basketball state title in my book.

I'd have taken Carmelo over LeBron too...unless I was running the Cleveland Cavaliers. I mean, they had no choice.

And committing to a college doesn't mean they're going to go. Jonathan Bender committed to Mississippi State.

Yeah and Charlie Villenueva committed to Illinois, then Kansas, then Connecticut, then the NBA, before finally going to Conneticut last year IIRC, which i'm pretty sure I do.
