October 10, 200321 yr I read an article that said there were actually only 5-10 thousand Cubs fans at the Turner field for the Braves game (total attendance was around 55,000 if I'm not mistaken.). However, pro-Cub FOX used tight camera shots and turned up the volume at certain times to make it look like the Cubs "besieged" Turner field to turn it into Wrigley South. That, and at the end of the game, the Braves fans were pretty shut up and were leaving the stadium. Regardless, I don't think it'll be a problem for Games 3 & 4 because, for the most part, the vast majority of seats were sold pretty quickly, even before the Cubs & the Braves took the field for their game 5. Most of the loser Cubs fans will have to shout it up from the upper deck. Game 3 shouldn't be a problem at all since it's a Friday game. Game 4 shouldn't be bad. Game 5, however, might be a problem for us. There were TONS of seats still available when the Cubs and Braves game started, and the sight of Cubs fans shouting it up in Atlanta most definitely energized Cub country. Within a couple hours of the Cubs win, the majority of the remaining Game 5 seats sold out, but a very large percent of tickets for that game went to out-of-state internet sales through ticketmaster, and a lot went to ticket brokers and scalpers. I read a number of articles about this, and about our fans b***hing about how they waited in line (dummies) Monday morning for tickets, but they sold out in minutes because of out-of-state internet sales. I'll see if I can dig something up.
October 10, 200321 yr FOX better not try it because WSVN is going to give it to them. Channel 7 is the king of hype and THEY will hype this. Remember WSVN is the flagship news station model for FOX and without WSVN Fox would be nada. Don't make Asner mad! lol
