They are doing a segment on espn called "most clutch player" active. They have one analyst from each sport, so its pretty cool to hear them all argue with eachother.

Tom Brady- Sean Salisbury

Martin Brodeur- Barry Melrose

Kobe Bryant- Jamal Mashburn

Derrick Jeter- Steve Phillips

I think Martin Brodeur is the most clutch.

Steve Phillips is a moron who should never talk about sports again. You should have heard some of the crap he said about Brady and Kobe.

I'd go with Brady followed by Jeter. Kobe's 3rd.

Tiger Woods?

Seems strange to limit this to team sports. You know, seeing as they are TEAM sports.

maybe because golf isnt a sport

It would also be hard to compare team sports to individual ones

Then we should eliminate hockey.

why

I don't really care do the whole "Is golf a sport?" debate, but we talk about Tiger Woods in this forum plenty. If you want to call it a game...fine. He's still a clutch player, by any definition of the word, and I don't really think anyone on that list can top him.

Alot more people can care about golf then hockey.

Thats not what I was arguing. I said golf was not a sport, not that it had more or less fans. Something like a marathon doesnt have any tv ratings, but it is a sport. Does that mean its inferior to golf as a "sport"?

What do you classify as a sport? Do you even play golf?

Dwyane Wade. Did people forget about the 2006 NBA Playoffs/Finals?

I knew this would turn out that way (I added that comment on purpose).

No I dont play golf, it doesnt interest me.

I am not sure what classifies as sport. Are bowling, golf, sailing, nascar, chess, darts, boxing, ultimate fighting, hunting and horse racing sports?

I think you either have to accept all of them as sports or none of them. But for arguments sake, out of the list I created I say boxing, ufc and maybe nascar.

Fantastic free throw shooter.

I could turn anything into a sport. I could turn taking a dump into a sport if I had competition.

What does that mean? That D Wade should be penalized cause his team hasnt won 3 times. This is an indiviual standard and D Wade was more "clutch" in the playoffs and finals than Kobe ever was in his finals runs.

lol.

I remember Kobe beating the Pacers on one ankle after Shaq fouled on.

The Lakers were to busy kicking the Sixers and Nets ass for the need to be clutch for Kobe. And yes, Wade should be penalized for having won 2 less titles then Kobe.

im sorry...but derek jeter isnt clutch...or at least he hasnt been in a long time, good player, nice guy, yeah...clutch...no...tom brady needs to play more than half the game and not rely on the tuck rule...kobe...yeahhhhhhhh...no...the answer to this question is brodeur even though it is like comparing apples and frogs

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

He's won 3 titles. He's lost 1 playoff game EVER. That's relying on the tuck rule?

if its ruled a fumble, there is no dynasty, period...and ken walter also won 3 super bowl titles...should he be the most clutch punter of all time?

He was a punter, that's a bit different then a quaterback.

How many quaterback's have won 3 super bowls?

one can be "clutch" in the world series. he owns the record for more Grand Slams. He broke it in half of a season. Hitting like that is pretty amazing, albeit not clutch.

he preformed good under pressure you could say.

as for brady without vinitari and a BS tuck rule they never get those SBs

And Tom Brady is in his 7th year (6th as a starter). Did either of them have that many in their 7th year? Brady has only missed the playoff once in his career as a starting QB.

Ill say Vinatieri is the MOST clutch athlete. To hit game winning kicks over and over and over and in the Super Bowl. He literally WON Super Bowls for the Patriots.
