Brady Clark

Featured Replies

I've seen the name thrown out before.. With the announcement of the Brewers to go with a starting OF of Jenkins, Hall and Hart, Brady Clark could be available... and if they're going with Mench and Gross as the 4th and 5th OF, what options are there for Clark?

Granted he's not exactly where we're looking for as he's 33 and owed 3.8 mil this year.. but maybe we could get something to work.

Hell, I'd love to get Mench as a quasi-insurance policy for Jacobs/Boone.

Took the words right out of my mouth

Mench would not be better because he does not play CF. Upgrading Alex Sanchez, Reggie Abercrombie, or Eric Reed is FAR more important then upgrading Boone/Borchard. Besides, Jenkins/Mench is going to be a RHP/LHP platoon, and be an insurance policy for Hart just in case he struggles.

Clark is probably not going to make the team though. If Milwaukee wants to eat salary and doesn't expect anyone important in return, sure.

I won't get my hopes up anymore. The guy I wanted here was Shannon Stewart we didn't get him, the roster is a lock. I hope we get some extra bullpen pieces but that's not very likely, let's get this season rolling already!
