A shutout idea

Featured Replies

A shutout idea spring training style. lol i dont trust the starting pitchers so heres my idea that got a good chance for a shutout. since it could be the last game marlins should go all out.

Beckett 3 innings , Urbina 2 innings, Fox 1 inning, Pavano 2 innings, Penny 1 inning (or 5 pitches if he dont got it, 1 inning if he do got it)

they all can throw hard as hell because its limited action and i think they can handle 1 or 2 inn w/ out giving up a run

maybe jack can do something like that and we can get a shutout. i dunno about the next game though if this were to hapen. we just gotta get a dsperate win tomoroww.

And then be out of 'pen for the next game? How about Josh Beckett pitches like he knows how to and gives us an 8-inning effort and then hands it over to Urbina for the TKO.

Josh needs to pitch like the Cy Young winner that he WILL be one day.

and our offense has to step up big time.

Most Importantly for the players..it's VITAL that they take it one game at a time.

If you look at it like this: we have to win today, and than go back to wrigley and win vs. the 2 best young arms in the game....That'll f*** you up.

But if you take it one game at a time and break it all down it's not THAT intimidating

Not to mention that tells all those pitchers "We have absolutely no condidence in you guys, so we're limiting you to the bare minimum" Not exactly what your pitching staff needs to hear.

I dont think Beckett will pitch again in this series, if anything he'll pitch an inning or 2 in game 7 but thats doubtfull....

the plan is simple, the marlins pitches have to contain the Cubs to 2 runs or less and we have a chance on tuesday..it's NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

LETS GO FISH!
