April 23, 200719 yr Just pray you aren't behind a pole. I used to go on a 3 or 4 game Fenway trip once a year since I was in middle school and only once have I been behind a pole/support beam, and it almost totally covered the pitcher. Luckily I was 12 and some lady switched with me. Its the best sporting venue going, imo. Make sure you get there early and hang out outside the park for a bit and really soak in the ridiculous atmosphere, so much fun.

April 24, 200719 yr Ya we had terrible seats. We were in the outfield row 4 however row 4 means behind the fence. so we went to stading room only and saw tehe last 4 innings from there. If my typi g is bad I am sorry I have ad atleast 13 beers. Down with boston!
April 24, 200719 yr Author well that was fun. We left at 4 and our turn signals weren't working...so we went back and left again at 4:30...at about 5:30 in Storrs, CT we found out we left the tix at home, so some quick thinking by myself and I called the ticket office (much nicer than the Yankees office btw) and they gave us a confirmation #. We then got to the T station and onto the green line to Fenway. We're on the green line and I forgot the confirmation number (and my wallet, but more on that later), so I called the Red Sox again and we fixed the problem. btw, the T green line is basically a bus on tracks, it's not cool (NYC Subway>>>T green line)...we got there at 7:00 and then had to walk from the Fenway station to the stadium...it's a clean nice area... I realized a lot of people were drinking (I'm underage, so I am not going to be drinking tonight), we went to the ticket office and then had to wait another 30 mins to get our tickets reprinted...we go to Yawkey Way and it is amazing!!! Then we found our seats in section 1 row 10...great seats, it was cramped, but the atmosphere at Fenway was amazing! The seats are pretty much wood, the aisles are tiny, but it is an amazing place. I saw Frank Thomas' very long HR off the Volvo sign on the "monsta" (sorry, had to say it)...a note on the way I saw someone pass out from being too drunk...on a Monday! After an inning, I went on an excersion. I had a Fenway Frank (Dolphin Stadium's are better)...then I walked around and met someone who will be a freshman at my college and we talked about the school for a good amout of time. Afterwords, I relaized I didn't have my wallet. I got up after havign sat for another half inning and retraced my steps. I figured it was gone and reported it missing to security, but I still had some money one me, I went to Yawkey Way or whatever its called and saw a place with some baseball cards. I found a Miguel Cabrera "hot prospect" from 2004 for $1! I couldn't pass it up, so I baught that and a "grab bag" which for $3 I got some good cards. I was back for the 7th inning stretch, some people gave me crap for wearing my Uggla shirt, but it was all in good fun..."I could be in a Burnett shirt!" I said. They laughed. In the 8th, it was time for Sweet Caroline, and I got a good video of it...words cannot describe when sweet caroline played. the Red Sox lost, and so we headed out, walked down to the station, waited a good 30 mins for the train back. We then headed to the car and I foundd my wallet! We then headed home, I still had a take home test due at 8am and it was 11:30pm. not looking good. We drove down 95, and realized we went south instead of north to hit the Mass Pike. after driving around, i fell asleep. I woke up and we were at the Rhode Island border and it was 12:30am. (we took 95 the whole way). It was my first time in Rhode Island, and that state is tiny and ugly! (given it was 12am and I was in and out of sleep)...we returned to campus around 2am annd I got to bed at 3am...my alarm was set for 6:30am but I didn't wake up till 7:15 and I still had the take home test...oh I love being a college student! end
April 24, 200719 yr fenway is a good time.. had some great times when i was at school up there.. just sucks the tickets are so expensive.. takes a toll on you when you are a college student.. means you have to cut back on beer or other necessities. food most likely as beer is vital for survival
