Wheaton, IL-A DuPage County judge sentenced a former nurse's aide to 25 years in prison Wednesday for raping and impregnating a nursing home resident who could neither walk, talk nor feed herself.

 

"This is beyond outrageous, frankly," Circuit Judge George Bakalis said in handing down the near-maximum punishment to 20-year old Reynaldo Brucal Jr. "These people are disabled and we as a society have a responsibility to care and protect them and make sure that they are not harmed."

 

Bakalis also ordered that Brucal, of Schaumburg, IL, be deported to his native Philippines after his prison term.

 

Brucal changed his plea to guilty to aggravated assault last year after DNA evidence showed that he was the father of the patient's infant daughter.

 

The rape at the Alden Village Health Facility for Children and Young Adults in Bloomingdale, IL was only discovered in June 2005 after the then 23-year-old victim, who suffers from cerebral palsy, was found to be 28 weeks pregnant.

 

The victim and her twin sister, who had lived at Alden Village since they were 10, were then removed from the facility. She gave birth by emergency C-section at a Chicago hospital on July 20, 2005.

 

Bloomingdale police later took DNA samples from from all the male workers at the nursing home and matched Brucal's to the infant.

 

The victim's mother, who is raising her granddaughter in Rockford, IL, says the child is developmentally disabled. She has filed a lawsuit in Cook County seeking more than $1 million in damages from Alden Village, its management company, her daughter;s former physician and Brucal.

 

Brucal worked at Alden Village from September 2004 until his arrest Niv. 1, 2005.

 

The Illinois Department of Public Health fined Alden Village $10,000 for lacking oversight and mishandling its investigation of the incident.

I dont think a prison sentence and deportation are enough for scum like this. There is no telling how many other patients he raped without the consequence of pregnancy..

 

While I know it is not up to me to decide who lives and dies, IMO this subhuman deserves nothing short of the slowest, most painful death possible.

 

This is truly one of the most sickening stories I have ever read.

Terrible as it is, you can't jus tgo around sentencing people to death. I wouldn't be against sticking him in jail for longer than 25 years though. 40 may be a good number.

Why should we feed, clothe and medicate this piece of sh*t for 25 years? Send him back now and let his people take care of him. Deport him for good. And strip him of all his belongings here in the United States. Send him back with nothing.

Because what if he finds a way to come back into our country and continues raping people. Our border is pretty soft.

Castrate him (not the chemical humane way) and then send him back.

Beat him to death with a sock filled with dimes.
