I might of asked this before but does Morrison have the talent to become a legitimate prospect?

Damn, that Doolittle guy dominates righties but is crap vs. lefties.

Coghlan potentially our top overall prospect?

Coghlan potentially our top overall prospect?

nope

he'll need to put up numbers in Jupiter first

we've had 2 guys the last 2 years torch the SALLY and then get their butts handed to them in Jupiter (McCann, Sanchez)

both I think won offensive player of the year in our org too

Do you think Chris will get the Hermida treatment by finishing the year at Greensboro and then skipping Jupiter and making the jump to Carolina next year?

I'd say no... I happen to think he sees some Jupiter this year

His eye in the minors seems alot like Jeremy's eye (more BB then Ks and all).

I hope the kid can produce in the FSL. I would like to have a legit position player prospect finally.

we have a legit position prospect Gaby Sanchez

  • Author

we have a legit position prospect Gaby Sanchez

as of right this moment he isn't a legit prospect

he's 3 months shy of being 24 years old, and is putting up very pedestrian numbers in A ball

I'd love for him to become a great prospect for us, but he has done jack squat this season

yes, he was a phenom last year in the SALLY, but he isn't the first, nor will he be the last college guy to dominate low-A

hell, one of his teammates did the same thing, his name is Brad McCann and even then, McCann did it over a full season, while Gaby got hurt and didn't even collect 200 at bats there

I'm sorry that you are a close friend, or a younger brother or relative of him because you have your Gaby-shaded sunglasses on...

I don't pay too much attention to the lower levels because even dominance doesn't mean that much.

Like I said you have no idea what your saying and you talk out of your a** your are a terrible fan that hogs this site because you have nothing else to do and for a 24 year old you have allot to learn and I?m non of the above I?m a Fan of all our players

Well, McCann is having a bounceback year in Jupiter, so maybe theres hope for Gaby.

Ive personally turned my attention to 19 year old Logan Morrison.

McCann has been in Jupiter 2 years and he's a great ball player but their is no comparison between him and Sanchez ,love Morrison but he has a long way to go

Id say McCann and Sanchez are comparable. They have both kinda sucked during their first tours of A+ ball while both being old for the level. Enough of a comparison for me.

No kidding, Morrison has a long way to go? Hes hitting .282/.363/.469 with 8 HR, 5 2B, 2 3B, 2 SB, and 24 SB as a 19 year old in A ball. Id say hes on the right track.

And before you tell me how much better Gaby was in Greensboro than Morrison, please remember Gaby was also 22 years old.

haha ok dude, I hope you and Gaby ride off into the sunset together

he ain't a top prospect right now, no matter how much you pray at night

Why is there no comparison between the 2 players?

spike I'll reply to you ave. age in A ball 22 ave. age in high A 23 Morrison 19 the youngest player in A ball team will likely be their again next year . check rosters and spend some time at Jupiter with the players and and watch some games you'll see the different

As a 19 year old, the way he is playing (I've only seen the stats) he is way ahead of schedule. How is he not ahead of schedule? They aren't going to stick him in A ball for three years just so he can meet the average age. That's just silly.
