Throwing a ball back seems like a pretty stupid concept to me. I'm not such a pseudo-hardcore fan that I have to throw a ball back to prove my allegiance, if somebody hits a home run ball to me I for darn sure am going to catch it.

Residents of South Florida actually have to ask this question. Plus it's discussed on two pages. And those "hicks" up north won't give us a tax rebate????? They must really be stewpid up there.

The only time I wouldn't throw a homerun ball back is if it was worth money. Otherwise, I throw it back without hesitation. I've never had this happen though, since the only homerun ball I've ever got was hit by a Baltimore Oriole at an Oriole home game.

Of course you throw back an opponents HR. Its a no brainer.

Only exception would be a monumental HR such as the Bonds thing. Catch it and run for your car.
