Posted June 18, 200717 yr Johnson, Willis, Mitre. The White Sox have lost 8 of their last 10 games. If we don't win this series handily, hell, if we don't sweep this series, it will be a let down.
June 18, 200717 yr Deffinitley a sweep we got our best 3 pitchers taking the mound. we need a sweep bad.
June 18, 200717 yr Tonight it's Josh Johnson vs. Jose Contreras. Willis and Mitre are pitching for the Marlins on Tues/Wed. I don't know about who the White Sox are throwing in the final two games of the series.
June 18, 200717 yr not to sound like a debbie downer but the marlins just lost 2 out of 3 to the royals i dont think we have the advantage in any series although I wish we can sweep them
June 18, 200717 yr Hyperbole perhaps, but anything less than 2/3 is stick a fork in the season for me.
June 18, 200717 yr White Sox rumored to be sellers soon. I was hoping they would win 2/3 from Pitt over the weekend. Did not want a desperate team coming home in need of wins. We, on the other hand, just keep treading-losing games we should win with errors, bad base running etc and now on the road against a desperate team with talent.--I do not like it. Hopefully, Josh can do it, then DTrain and Sergio-.
June 18, 200717 yr Tonight it's Josh Johnson vs. Jose Contreras. Willis and Mitre are pitching for the Marlins on Tues/Wed. I don't know about who the White Sox are throwing in the final two games of the series. Jon Danks on Tuesday, and Jon Garland on Wednesday. Despite the lack of wins, The Sox rotation is solid 1-5. Their pitching problems are in the bullpen. If the Marlins are patient at the plate, get the pitch count up, and can get the starter out of the game around the 7th inning or so, they should have no problem scoring runs off of the Sox bullpen. Bobby Jenks is the only guy out there who hasn't been getting lit up on a regular basis. But they can rarely get the ball to him in a save situation. The White Sox haven't been scoring a lot of runs either, so it's not like you need to score 10 runs to beat them. I'll be at the game tonight!
June 18, 200717 yr Winning a series against ANY team on the road is good and that's what we should hope for, but it's way too early for those of you holding out hope that this team will make the playoffs to think that this series is make or break, whether we go 0-3 or 3-0, or anything in between
June 18, 200717 yr Well, Chicago has lost 8 of 10. Odds are that they will turn it around in the next 4-6 games. That's baseball probability for you.
