Las Vegas.... what to do

Just came from Vegas today....my second time going and i enjoyed it like i did when i first went.

went to all the hotels...stayed at the mirage (awesome, fancy hotel)...if you want to know the best hotell, then for me its the Bellagio (super elagent) and its in the middle of the strip so your not all the way at the ffar end. I went to the Danny Gans show in the Bellagio, this man is awesome, he really knows how to entertain but he does imitations of older artists but you still get a laugh in every second! Ceasars Palace is the way to go, the best and biggest mall in the strip of las vegas with all the popular designer stores (versace, gucci, louis vitton, etc.).

I stayed in the Bellagio and saw Lewis Black at MGM and Love by Cirque de Soleil at the Mirage.... Won some money with the Fish and DRays and lost with Lamon Brewster (huge underdog, had to) and the Angels (Ervin Santana, again huge underdogs and Santana had been great vs the Yanks in his career, had to).... Probably wont go back to Vegas. Not into shopping. Went to the NBA Summer League on Sunday so that was pretty sweet.

True, I know a lot of people that havent left the US. I also know people who havent left a 200 mile radius of their house.

No one is going to tell you to go anywhere, its your vacation and are allowed to do what you want. However, there is so much more to the world than just the US and I think you may be missing out.

I have my next few trips line up (no fixed dates yet)

1. Mexico City

2. London

3. Russia (moscow and st. petersburg)

4. Vancouver

5. Peru

That's a solid list. Peru is incredible and Mexico City is interesting to say the least. I'd recommend Guatemala though instead of Mexico City if you're looking to visit Central America, it's one of my favorite countries in the world.

I'm hoping to get to Russia this fall if I can scrape together the money, I have a few friends who live in St. Petersburg to show me around.

I've been to Guatemala several times and absolutely love it. It's hands down the best place to travel to in Central America and better than most of South America too. Mexico City and it's surrounding areas are also pretty special. I've been to Peru a couple of times but never Cusco or Machu Pichu which I guess it's where you want to go.

I will have 30,000 miles on american airlines, so I decided to use them on Peru. I want to go to Lima, Cusco and Iquitos (to see the amazon).

I don't know if you're into movies but there's a couple of really good ones filmed in Iquitos and the Amazon that may interest you:

Fitzcarraldo

Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes

cool thanks I will check that out.

I am also thinking about india. If I sign up for an american airlines credit card and go to india, I get enough miles to go to europe for free. So I could do India and Norway or something like that for about $900 total for airfare.
