Who are the stars? Does the team look good this year? Who's our goalie? It's not Belfour, right? I'm trying to get back into this team again and plan on going to a few games this year and don't want to be lost watching them. Can someone help?

You got your captain and first line center, Finnish superhero Olli Jokinon.

You got the young star wing in making, Nathan Horton.

You got the young star defenseman, Jay Bouwmeester.

Those are the 3 biggest names, I could go on forever on why just about everyone deserves mention in this thread.

 

The goalie is all-star Tomas Vokoun, who we got in a trade with Nashville. Belfour is tasered and outta here. Vokoun is being backed up by Craig Anderson, a real live American.

We signed forwards Radek Dvorak, Richard Zednik, and Brett McLean in free agency.

 

The Panthers are most likely a playoff team this year with a great new goalie, and improvement of the young core Jaques Martin has put together.

 

Definitely make you out to some games this season. You can get scalper tickets at anyone game we're not playing a Canadian team. Just drive there, park for free and get a cheap ticket.

My advice: get into the Pens instead. The Panthers will only disappoint, as they have since Craterface started bilking the taxpayers for a new arena only to bail out on us and saddle the problem on someone else.

How far in the playoffs could we get?

It'll probably be a low seed and we leave in a round or two. However, we play in an easy division and could get the 3 seed for winning the division and then we might make a nice little run. You can never really know though. Regardless, this is going to be an exciting year for the cats.

In the NHL you never know;if you can make the playoffs and have a goalie get super hot, you can go all the way.
