August 5, 200719 yr Was anybody else there Saturday? I saw Kim for a second. But when I turned to say something to my wife and then looked back I couldn't find her again. She's quick!! LOL Got some great pics. We had the digital and video cameras with us. All the guys were there (except Mitre) and were pretty much in a jovial mood. It was a pretty good time. And I got some very funny video of DTrain messing with Olivo when they were just getting seated. Olivo kept pointing to me and saying "He's taking video!!! Stop it Trelle!!!" And Dtrain would just say "Nope. I'm gonna be sitting here next to you all day!!" Funny stuff going on. Let's just say I have blackmail footage. LOL Also finally got to compare tats with Miller Time. Don't think I talked him into matching my Marlins tat, but at least he liked it alot. He commented on it a couple of times. Would like to know who's bright idea it was to have Fredi, Hanley, and Miggy all for one line. Probably not the best way to do that. And if anyone is going to do it next year, bring your own water. They didn't supply any and it was HOT out there.

I think they used to do a better of job of communicating these things. In any case, it's pretty tough to survive this heat and, for the Marlins, I don't think August is the best time to do this.

I agree with you... Their communication has gone down BIG TIME!! I dont get anything in the mail/email anymore regarding events for holders

August 5, 200719 yr I too was at this Photo Op yesterday. It would of been nice to get a few autographs but it was an awesome experience meeting the players and going on a major league field. The players were very nice. I wanted to bring my 5 month old son, but it was way too hot. I was able to get all the players on video saying hi to my son. Next year I recommend having this photo op in the winter or early in the season. August is just brutal!

I was talking to a friend that used to be but had to cut back to saturdays and he said it only for full season. I'm not sure if that's true or not. But we got notice as recently as last week and had to bring that letter with us. The guard at the main gate (too early for the other gates to be open) actually asked for it. If you aren't getting notices I would be on the phone to your sales rep. Something we haven't gotten notice on is the Ice Cream Festival. 2nd annual. Last year this was great fun. The kiddies were a trip, especially the ice cream eating contest. Sponsored by the Community Foudation with proceeds going to LGD. We went to their booth Sunday and paid for it there. $10 per person, on the 19th of August.

My wife was suffering through it tho. Winter would be a terrible time to try to get all the players together. Early in the season is better, but we wouldn't have the same team, I think. If they would have supplied a couple of those 5 gallon coolers and cups with cold liquids of some kind it would have been alot better. That's really the only complaint I have because it was a real good time.
