August 11, 200718 yr Dont know if this idea has been proposed before, but from what i remember hearing the devil rays are also hoping for a new stadium and therefore can share the stadium with the marlins and fill in the funding gap and actually split the price of the stadium saving the marlins money. also its not like this has never happened, the jets and mets have shared stadiums, the marlins and dolphins, the yankees and mets back in the day, and i may be mistaken but the giants and dodgers in there ny days. i dont know if this has been proposed before..comments?

August 11, 200718 yr You are comparing apples to oranges. You're talking about two teams within a city (NY Jets/Mets, NY Yankees and Mets *which I might add is only a few minutes apart by a train* and Ebbets Field and the Polo Grounds were within a stones throw away compared to Miami and Tampa. If this was a Miami baseball team and a Fort Lauderdale baseball team, then yeah I can see your point, but they are too geographically apart to do anything remotely what you are asking for.

Are you from here? Because, if you're not that is the only thing saving you from being called KooKoo.
