Brandon Webb will see your impressive achievement

Obviously there is "favorable luck" or whatever you want to call it when a guy pitches 59 scoreless. He sure as hell didnt have any "bad" luck in that span.

Im sure you will agree, Talent >>>>>>> Luck. That is the point I was trying to make. Maybe I didnt articulate well enough (I have been known to do this).

Didn't Webb go on some ridiculous run for a time last year as well? Seems he has a knack for putting together these types of runs.

Yes, talent always trumps luck, but it takes a lot of luck to go on a streak like this. Like, a lot.

The streak is continuing.

Brandon Webb > Every other pitcher in the NL

It looks like Two straight CY Youngs for a guy who is pretty much living in obscurity(not sure if that is the right word) while playing for the D-backs

3rd straight Shut out

He just pitched his 3rd straight shutout.

He's now at 42 consecutive innings.

He only got to 3 balls in ONE COUNT!!!

Filthy.

His pitches are disgusting

Just being able to say you threw 3 straight shut outs and 42 innings with out a run will get you most votes

webb is pretty much getting no press...don't know why though. this guy should have won roy in 2003 (prepare for flames by dontrelle backers) and pretty much has pitched well enough to win, but not flashy enough for press. been following this guy for years, finally he'll get the respect he deserves. he's been pretty overshadowed by randy johnson and the other nl west pitchers, and pitching in the west doesn't help.

By flashy, i think you mean having a 99+mph fast ball and a short temper. Webb has some of the nastiest pitchest i have ever seen anybody throw. He is up there in the top 5 (3 i think) in strike outs. He does not pitch boring games. I could watch him pitch for days. The Press just doesnt know how to appreciate him for his skill.

i like watching him pitch with sinking action. but its not enough for the media. his locale in the desert does not help either in that respect.

So do you think Webb loses his streak tonight to the Brew Crew? The ML is +200 right now.. That number is trying to sucker me in big time! What do you guys think? Can the Brewers win this one?

not worth the risk

Take the under 3.5 runs for the Brewers which for some reason was +105
