UF Student Tasered During John Kerry Speech

Pinned down or not Fox, he still wasn't following what they were asking him to do. Sure, the guy was pinned by 3 or 4 cops, but you can clearly see from the video that he was constantly trying to move and force the police off of him. When a cop asks you to stop, you stop. When a cop asks you to put your hands behind your back, you don't ask why you're being arrested or throw your hands up into the air, you put your hands behind your back. Any person with common sense knows this.

Where did I say I didn't 'know' that?

I guess I'm the only one that finds it absurd 5 or 6 people who are trained to do this very task can't do it without the use of a weapon.

You would think they'd be able to, and that's totally understandable to feel that way. I feel that way somewhat. But when it comes down to it a resisting person can not only harm cops, but themselves as well. If the cops allow him to continually squirm around, he could have easily hurt himself. Just saying. A taser, when used properly, can prevent further injury from taking place.

I'm glad to see this discussion is based on the actions of the police in using force, not "free speech." If I hear one more wannabe activist college student state that this is an issue of free speech, I'm going to pull my hair out.
