November 4, 200718 yr Hello. I do not know anything about this genre. Would anyone like to enlighten me a bit? Perhaps share some of your favorite songs? Thanks in advance.

November 4, 200718 yr Author :lol I can see that paper will be done in no time... (P.S. I'm in the same boat) The paper is a minor issue. I want to pump up the volume and dance son.
November 4, 200718 yr Author Well I'm trying to do this while listening to Vivaldi and it's not working out.
November 4, 200718 yr Just a FYI, Techno/Electronic/Dance are all distinct genres and shouldn't just be grouped together. Here are some albums I really like, no order: DJ Shadow - Endtroducing..... James Aphex Twin - Drukqs Aphex Twin I Care Because You Do Daft Punk - Homework Daft Punk - Discovery
November 4, 200718 yr Author Yeah sorry for lumping those together Fox. Basically I just mean I'm looking for sh*t that's not hip hop, danceable and more electronic in nature. I appreciate the recommendations!
November 4, 200718 yr David Guetta...Good sh*t And download a song called 'Lucky' by Twice Lucky. sh*t kicked ass in clubs overseas this summer.

November 4, 200718 yr Considering this one is my favorite genre's and I used to dabble with breakbeat and triphop production in college I think I have some nice recommendations for you. Breakbeat Aquasky - DJ Hyper - http://youtube.com/watch?v=D-WxKZcjgEc DJ Icey - Dylan Rhymes and Force Mass Motion - Freestylers - Future Funk Squad - ILS (One of my favorites) - http://www.ilsmusic.com/audio.html James Zabiela - http://youtube.com/watch?v=XTWTy0Iy2U4 Orbital - http://youtube.com/watch?v=NEhM4Iwzff0 Plump DJ's - http://youtube.com/watch?v=NrQrxbeAF-A Son of the Electric Ghost - http://dw.com.com/redir?&destUrl=http%...merId=100564227 Stanton Warriors - http://youtube.com/watch?v=rgZhw3Y8GNk Tipper -
November 4, 200718 yr Dodge had mentioned he likes Prydz' "Call On Me". While a lot of the stuff JDig listed is great listening, virtually none of it is Vocal House and I think that is the genre that would most interest Dodge. Of course I could be wrong.

Yeah I typically try to stay away from anything with a 4/4 so others will probably have better recommendations for house/trance etc..
November 4, 200718 yr JDigital busting out some good stuff there, I really liked that last PENDULUM, LTJ ... ect other good recommendations: Richard Dorfmeister Kenna (basically electronic music) Teddybears Fischerspooner and DJ Tiesto, if you feel like getting low and dirty plus a lot of stuff thats been mentioned already.
November 4, 200718 yr I listen to decent amount of this stuff, and I still have no idea what should be labelled what. I'd recommend pretty much anything by Underworld...Beauchoup Fish and Dubnobasswithmyheadman are two of their more popular albums.
November 4, 200718 yr Author Dudes, thanks a lot for the recommendations, I'm checking all of em out. You guys are champs in my book.
November 5, 200718 yr I highly suggest the Thin White Duke Main Mix of Seal's new song, "Amazing". Its not cheesy/ballad Seal either. Its tight electro/house.
November 6, 200718 yr I'd like to strongly recommend hitting up di.fm. Links to streaming electronica of all types. My personal favorite is trance. I recommend Paul Oakenfold, but I'm hardly an expert. I hear what I like and jam out.
November 6, 200718 yr If I ever had to recommend one song that fell under the big umbrella of "dance" music it would be: "Music Sounds Better With You" by Stardust
