February 3, 200818 yr Pieter Brown and Julio Caballero created this MLS Miami supporters Club website because of passion for MLS soccer. There is a good chance that we get a expansion team but we need the stadium. Can you help us in any way? We appreciate anything you can do for us. Thank You, Pieter Brown Julio Caballero Visit Our Website and support us in bringing MLS to Miami.
February 3, 200818 yr I'll be honest with you... I won't support any MLS crap until the Marlins get their stadium... BOTTOM LINE! I do give you big ups though for supporting something you have a passion for. Marlins fans have been trying to get a baseball only stadium for years now!

However, isn't FIU offering rent free for the MLS team? That has nothing to do with the Marlins stadium

We have to see what happen on Tuesday Commissioner meeting. All of us should attend the meeting. if we want our stadiums built.

Marlins fans have been trying to get a baseball only stadium for years now! we cannot have the parking garage at the new stadium without a soccer stadium there too. mls in miami and the marlins futures are interdependent. its both or neither. its in your best interest to support the soccer team.
February 3, 200818 yr I hate the idea of building another stadium along side the OB. MLS should play at FIU's stadium and the extra money saved from not building a soccer only facility should be used to complete the financing needed for the fish.
February 3, 200818 yr Why are they trying to have another MLS Miami team when there was already one that failed before? It just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. The MLS has never been, or never will be relevant in this country.

February 3, 200818 yr What happened to the Fusion? Kaput after 3 years. Maybe less. It won't be any different now than it was then.
February 3, 200818 yr Author What happened to the Fusion? Kaput after 3 years. Maybe less. It won't be any different now than it was then. The owner was not willing to continue. It was not the fans. If the don't get a stadium they will not be here for long. Lets work together to make it happen.

I agree the stadium was it currently is at FIU would be a great size. After it expands the MLS franchise could look for a place to go, or stay there as there actual home.

February 4, 200818 yr It is too risky of a venture to spend so much on a soccer stadium. Let the team play at FIU's stadium and see if the community will support the team. If they do, then they can look to build a soccer only facility. I do not think tax dollars should be used on a risky venture such as an MLS franchise.

Well, the MLS stadium is an optional add-on to the Marlins stadium.
