Puma
I don't understand. You say you are using Firefox, so how is IE bothering you w/ pop ups?
The_Punisher
I have no idea. But somehow I already fixed the problem with Adaware SE
Dr Beinfest
I have no idea. But somehow I already fixed the problem with Adaware SE I was gonna say, how long have you had this problem... because you can always use system restore. I had to use it yesterday because I got on my computer and BAM just an attack pouring down on it, filthy brother who was on it all night probably did it, it was a trojan downloader... so really it would have crashed in a matter of minutes because it couldnt encompass the amount of popups and that stuff, thank god I had a restore point from last month. Ice Man
These pop ups, do they look like system messages? If they do u have to disable windows messenger. If you have WINXP go to your control panel and find Admin Tools, go into services and find messenger and disable it.

In reality, you never really got rid of the Trojan. It is still in your System Restore. When scanning for viruses always TURN OFF System Restore otherwise it will remain in the restore points. Worked on countless machines and alot always seem to pop up in there. Just turn it off, scan the computer if nothing shows up then turn it back on. The trojan would the be gone and you can create a CLEAN restore point. Adaware helps with getting simple spyware, and IE does a decent job with their pop up blocker. But if Pop ups are getting through that then you have to scan for spyware. Adaware. AVG Anti-Spyware www.spywareguide.com a couple good sites to use.
