June 17, 200818 yr Anyone here remember those Starting Lineup figurines from back in the 90s? I was going through my closet the other day and came across some of my old ones, and it brought back a lot of memories. I have a 1995 limited edition Ripken, Frank Thomas, Pete Rose, Steve Sax, Eric Davis.
June 17, 200818 yr Pete Rose?!?!? What's he in a prison uniform or leaning on a fence betting on horses or on a phone placing bets on baseball. I only have a few of those still in my collection their all Marlins, Bryan Harvey, Kevin Brown and Edgar Renteria.

Hey he was my favorite player when i was growing up and is still in my top 10 of all-time. He played the game the way it should be played, but off of the field the guy couldn't handle his demons and still has problems telling the truth. I also wonder why MLB would license a figurine of someone they kicked out of the game five years or so earlier?

On one hand, he is banned from baseball and can't go in the HOF. On the other hand, they put him on the All-Century Team.
June 17, 200818 yr The only real crime Pete Rose ever committed was sporting that fugly bowl haircut.
