I have yet to see Hermida display anything approaching the promise he came to the major leagues with three years ago, except possibly one summer stretch last season. He's seemingly uninspired to play the game, all sizzle and no steak. I keep waiting, perhaps too patiently, for him to prove me wrong but I seem to always wind up disappointed.

 

At some point you have to say he was never the can't miss all-star in waitng he was touted to be and we accept the fact he's Juan Encarnacion in a different suit.
