October 28, 200322 yr I made 3 seperate rosters 1 that has the better chance of happening or something similar to that 1 with a trade with the Yankees that after some thought looks good for both teams and finally 1 on how we can afford Vlad Guerrero its an excel file and if you would like to see it, please pm me you email address after you receive it, i would love a critique on any of my 3 rosters... thanks
October 28, 200322 yr Ramp, any other way to view it without excel? I thought I had it on the other computer but I dont.

October 28, 200322 yr Author Please dont laugh at me ifim wrong but i heard the marlins rised their payroll to $90million. you're wrong and i dont think i could do it in a notepad or anything you can download excel for free somewhere im sure
October 28, 200322 yr damn i dont wanna d/l a program just 2 c one file. my comp is full of movies n music.
October 28, 200322 yr I just wanted to throw out an idea. instead of the Castillo to the Yanks I was thinking a sign and trade with the Red Sox. They get: Castillo and something else. We Get: Walker, Embree or Sauerbeck I like the idea of getting Walker he's a left-handed bat with pop, and my only problem with your roster ramp is that the bullpen is looking rough especially with Spooney maybe not coming back next season.
October 28, 200322 yr Author i dont think sign-and-trade deals occur too often in baseball but i like that way of thinking
October 28, 200322 yr Author i think if you have a yahoo account, it will allow you to open the excel file from there
October 28, 200322 yr sign and trades dont work in baseball unless the players sign arbritration contracts and then get traded... this isnt the NBA
October 28, 200322 yr Well I atleast think we should use one of these players that we will be forced to get rid of (Lee, Enc., Penny or whoever) to get some cheap bullpen help.
October 28, 200322 yr damn i dont wanna d/l a program just 2 c one file. my comp is full of movies n music. Exactly Can anyone just copy and paste it to me? PM to me? I don't get why you did it on excel in the first place, isn't that for graphing?
October 28, 200322 yr Author because it adds for you when you add in players... its like a living database just get a yahoo account and ill send them there
October 28, 200322 yr Interesting ideas. I like the idea of trading for Nick Johnson, but I don't think we could get Soriano too and I don't think we really want/need him. I like Castillo or someone else in his mold in 2B and in the 2 hole. I don't think theres anyway we get Vlad, much less Vlad and Pudge. But if it happens great. Heres my roster thoughts: CF - Juan Pierre - $2.3 2B - Luis Castillo - $6.0 C - Pudge - $13.0 3B - Miguel Cabrebra - $0.3 LF - Jeff Conine - $3.0 1B - Nick Johnson - $3.0 RF - Someone Young and Cheap - $3.0 SS - Alex Gonzalez - $3.0 BENCH - $5.0 million SP - Beckett - $2.1 SP - Penny - $2.8 SP - Pavano - $2.5 SP - Willis - $0.4 SP - Burnett - $2.5 CL - Urbina - $4.5 SET - Fox - $1.0 SET - Looper - $2.5 REST - 3 more, $3.0 FLEXABILITY = $3.6 - can be used on the bullpen, bench, etc. Probably would best be used in getting a cheap 4-5 starter to bridge to AJ and a lefty in the bullpen. TOTAL = $65.0 TRADE BAIT = Lowell, Lee, and Redman. -Lowell for Johnson and prospects (if you could throw in Lee and get Soriano for RF go for it) -Lee for someone young and cheap in RF or 3B (Cabs provides flexability) -Redman for spare parts on the bench or bullpen
October 28, 200322 yr I swear I wouldn't be shocked if I heard Loria raised the payroll to around $70 Mill.
