August 16, 200817 yr I heard once that cycles are less common than no-hitters. Above seems to bear that out. the whole team has to have the offense clicking and you need the opportunities like a weird bounce or no one on to get the double etc... it is very rare.
August 16, 200817 yr lol so every time a player has hit for the cycle, their team has lost? No. Those were just the instances in which a player hit for the cycle and had their team lose the game. There have been many times that a player has hit for the cycle and had their team win.
