August 16, 200818 yr He's not bad...I just think he has to save more games than 1 in every 5. Based on save % he sure looks bad. Tied for most blown saves now? If he was even league average in that respect we'd probably have 3 more wins right now. Most of those blown saves came near the beginning of the season though. He has been great since the all-star game, and basically has only thrown one terrible pitch since it (the home-run ball.) Im just mad that he's currently the highest paid player on the team. :confused That's not to mean he is overpaid though. I believe he is the 25th best paid reliever in the NL. That includes all relief pitchers and not just closers, right? If it does, than I think he is overpaid. It includes them all. Not sure how that makes him overpaid though. Out of NL relievers with at least 45 IP, he is 17th in WHIP and 9th in ERA.
August 16, 200818 yr What gets me mad about this is Brad Lidge has yet to blow a save. :banghead he'll eventually blow a save sooner or later, and its gonna be against the marlins
