October 31, 200323 yr I dunno bout u guys but ive been followin em throught this young season so far. Theyre playing well although their record doesnt show it. the flaw i see is that being a young team everyone wants to be a hero and hogs the puck. they have difficulty setting up for powerplays and fail at times to block the opposing goalie. despite that this is a very good team from the looks of it, and i believe they can make it far soon. if not this year probably next. what do you guys think about the 03-04 panthers?
October 31, 200323 yr They have a good team IMO this year I love all the guys on the team, Luongo, Bowmeester, Jokinen very true what you said 4-5 record doesnt reflect how well they've been playing. I think they have a chance to go to the playoffs this year

October 31, 200323 yr I don't know what team you guys have been watching, because this team sucks. Jokinen and Koslov are the only guys who can score consistently. They get outshot 40-20 every game. They can't set up in the offensive zone when on the power play (that 5 on 3 last night was embarrassing). They can't go one shift without committing a penalty. The only reason they've won 4 games is because of their goaltending. Actually I don't know much about hockey. But from what I know, they are not a good team. However, they can still sneak into the playoffs if the goaltending stays sharp. No matter what though, I'll still cheer for them. Go Panthers!!!
October 31, 200323 yr Author of course no team can win if they cant score. that goes for every sport. i believe the panther weaknesses are also their strehgths: the youth. this team plays hard form wut ive seen. goaltending roles seems to have changed from luongo being the top dog to shields over the last 2 games. but this FLA team has ALOT of potential. i believe this year will be the stepping stone for this team. they will either make it to the playoffs or come REALLY close to it.

Go Panthers!!! i agree. this team is very scrappy and sloppy on the ice. that 5-3 last night was hard to watch, but also note as ive said many times this is a very young team! they dont suck tho. they need more experiance and to gather themselves on the ice. theyll come to eventually, but they certainly dont suck.

What about Van Ryn, Nilson, Huselius, Bouwmeester, Hagman, Novoseltsev.. Don't even post about the Panthers, you obviously no nothing about them.
November 1, 200323 yr The only reason they've won 4 games is because of their goaltending. All teams win because of goaltending, dont be a Dumb***. Look at the Minnesota Wild. They certainely don't score a lot, but they win because of GOOD goaltending.

I think it is just you. Keenan is just playing with the hot goalie right now and Luongo in the past has shown that he can get off to slow starts. But anyway Shield has only played in three games so far, the Atlanta win, the Flyers loss, and the Ottawa win.
