Fish Dynasty
Terrible question, because you don't know what Cabrera's stats would've been against NL pitching What are you talking about? DH affect pitchers, not hitters. If Cabrera stayed with the team, we would had 4 infielders with 30+ HR. Yea but thats not really important and was a difference of 1 HR for Cantu to have 30. But id rather have a guy who can produce offesivly and play good defensivley for less money then a guy who will hit a few more hr and a few more RBI with a lot more errors for as much as 3 Times more money. Cabrera would have been a much better hitter, and Cantu isn't that much better of a fielder.

He was talking about trade value, and if Cabrera had to face NL pitching, he most likely would've had completely different stats. That is why it is stupid to ask if we kept him could we have made just a good of a trade If there is some sort of difference in his stats which was to be expected if he was in the NL, then GMs are aware of that, too. I don't think it would have affected his trade value - GMs are generally clever enough to analyze relative stats.
dr marlin
Good ol' Admin did this trade to the Tigers for one person: Cameron Maybin. And personally, we have enough prospects anyways and we will get even more for Jacobs, Olsen, and Gregg so what does it matter anyways? We did this trade mainly for Maybin and Miller. We will get more prospects anyways but we would not have gotten another Maybin. This kid is nasty. He a 5 tool player and he is going to be one of the best outfielders in all of baseball.
