I was thinking about how truly strange the Marlins WS run was this year. Some said we had God on our side. Here's my off-the-cuff list of weird occurances:

 

1- Bartman / Alou

2- Cruz drops 2 in RF

3- Marlin hits 2B bag with single (forgot which game)

4- Old timer MCKeon comes in and inspires troops

5- Rookies DDub & Cabs lead the way

Marlins actually trade for a playoff run instead of trading payers to contenders

 

we beat 3 storied franchises

MLB slaps the Marlins with a $1 million dollar penalty(check the # on that) for hiring Jack McKeon and not interviewing anyone else.

 

 

Like I've said before: If you have your man, why would you want to interview anyone else? :mischief2

didnt they end up not having to pay it?

Beinfest & Loria's midnight run to Arnberg's place to fire him, and the subsequent shouting match. Weird.

Well, that's why I say that everything happens for a reason. I don't know about you guys, and I don't want to make this a religious issue, but I know that what happened with us was God's Will. If it wasn't God's Will, we wouldn't even have gone this far. So, if you're a believer, thank God for this b/c He is the reason why we made it this far. If you're not a believer, just be thankful that there IS someone or something on our side.

They only thing I don't like about this 3, is that it takes the credit away from the Marlins. Yes those things DID happend, but the Marlins were the best team of the 2004 playoffs. . .
