February 11, 200917 yr Good day Marlins fans & supporters - As you may know, the future of Marlins Baseball in South Florida rests in the hands of City of Miami & Miami-Dade County Commissioners. This Friday both commissions will be voting on the future of the Marlins and the future of the Marlins New Ballpark Project. WE NEED YOUR VOCAL SUPPORT NOW MORE THAN EVER! We need you and as many Marlins fans & supporters to show their enthusiasm by showing up at the County Commission vote this Friday afternoon and evening at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL 33128. The County vote will begin at 1pm and will run long through the night. Please also come support your team at the City of Miami City Hall at 9:00 a.m. at 3500 Pan American Drive Miami Fl, 33133. If you are a resident of Dade-County, you have the right to be heard by your commissioners! Every county resident is afforded 2 minutes to speak their mind on the issue on the commission floor. These 13 Miami-Dade County Commissioners represent all Miami-Dade County residents and their interests, and now is your chance to let them know how you want them to vote! If you are interested in speaking before the commission, please let me know so we coordinate adding you on the agenda to speak before your commissioners. If you don't want to speak, but would like to support your Marlins, please feel welcomed to attend. Remember to wear your Marlins gear!! February 12, 200917 yr If anyone is on facebook join this group on facebook in support of the marlins stadium. im not gunna link it because i dont know the exact rules in doing so but im not gunna take a chance. the group has 422 members and is called "All in favor of the Marlins new stadium deal." we need our voices to be heard.
