February 23, 200917 yr Via Frisaro Andrew Miller continues working on his new delivery. The aim is to speed up his tempo, and basically the lefty is throwing more than the other starters. For example, when say, Ricky Nolasco and Miller are throwing live batting practice, each is going for about eight minutes. But Miller is working at a faster tempo, so he is throwing more total pitches. It looks like Wiley is trying to do with him the same he did with Olsen.
February 23, 200917 yr As long as he throws strikes he can pitch underhand. This kid has such nasty stuff a moving Fastball, sweeping slider and a changeup that freezes most batters he just needs someone to help him get motions together before he becomes great and i hope Wiley can do that for him.

It worked relatively well for Olsen, and I liked that he didn't give himself time to get pissed off over a home run.
February 23, 200917 yr Problem with Olsen is that he lost some velocity. Miller cannot afford to do that.
