NOLA

Ryan 67 AB, .373/.434/.597 (1.031), 2 HR, 8/15 BB/K

Gaby 73 AB, .315/.386/.425 (.810), 2 HR, 8/12 BB/K

Coghlan 73 AB, .288/.333/.397 (.731), 4/10 BB/K, 5/0 SB/CS

Mayorsen 75 AB .307/.350/.360 (.710), 5/4 BB/K, 4/1 SB/CS

Raynor 71 AB, .211/.278/.282 (.560), 1 HR, 6/17 BB/K, 1/4 SB/CS

Hayes 55 AB, .182/.250/.182 (.432), 5/9 BB/K

At least the average and BB/K is there for Gaby and Coghlan. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before a few more balls find the gaps for some doubles/slugging. Raynor's BABIP is catching up to him fast as predicted. Oh, and he can't steal bases anymore. Super. Carroll better check himself before he wrecks himself as Ryan is hitting the crap out of the ball and the organization does kind of like him.

JAX

Petersen 70 AB, .271/.338/.400 (.728), 1 HR, 8/16 BB/K, 5/0 SB/CS

Cousins, 74 AB, .230/.322/.378 (.700), 2 HR, 10/19 BB/K, 4/0 SB/CS

Lame. Cousins has been hitting better this last week though, so maybe it's just an early season thing. A bunch of relative non prospects - Mitchell (.981), Craig (.941), Randel (.984) - are raking, but the OF is a major disappointment through 1 month. Morrison isn't due back for awhile.

JUP

Stanton 75 AB, .280/.372/.489 (.852), 4 HR, 10/24 BB/K

Dominguez 76 AB, .250/.326/.355 (.681), 1 HR, 8/16 BB/K

Everyone else (Hickman, Burns, Fermin) sucks really hard. So bad it would be embarrassing to type. I suspect reality is setting in with the pitchers park with these two and they just have to fight the learning curve. They are striking out a bit, but they are at least walking. Nothing to get concerned about yet, but if Stanton has 70 whiffs in 200 AB by the end of June, I may start getting worried.

GBO

Lasater 78 AB, .410/.452/.769 (1.222), 5 HR, 5/19 BB/K

Galloway 66 AB, .303/.347/.424 (.771), 5/16 BB/K, 6/2 SB/CS

Gran 70 AB, .321/.350/.386 (.736), 8/10 BB/K

Skipworth 53 AB, .226/.276/.377 (.653), 1 HR, 4/17 BB/K

A lot more ho-hum performances. I'm not very familiar with Lasater and I suspect he is a fringe prospect at best, but we'll give him a line in the thread as he posted the best hitting line in the minors this month. Hopefully Smolinski is back from injury and playing in GBO in a month or two as well.

Overall, everyone stinks and needs to pick it up. Only Stanton was passable of the major prospects and Gaby, Coghlan, and Galloway were "OK" at best. Not the best way to start the year with Morrison going out and system-wide offensive failure elsewhere. Here's to everyone figuring out how to hit again after an early season funk.
