Gotta admit Boni's steal play was pretty fun to watch. But yet another error...

Ricky player of the game, as our starters continue to give solid outings.

Learning a new position on a new team, those throwing errors are gonna happen. Exactly like Cantu's 15 errors going into the ASB last year. Anyone expecting anything near GG type defense this first half of the year didn't learn any lessons from last year or are just looking for something to throw a tantrum over.

Oh I agree, I absolutely don't expect GG defense from him. But when defense is one of your calling cards, I'd hope it would translate a little better from one infield spot to the next. I mean we're not talking about Uggla trying to make the transition to shortstop or something. Jorge Cantu is not regarded as a plus defender anyway, so I don't think his struggles at third surprised many people. I'm not sure how playing on a new team factors into making errors, but okay.

Anyhow, don't want to make this a bash Bonifacio thread, still loving the win last night.

BOnifacio was supposed to, at the very least, be a super plus defender when compared to cantu, so he should have been more well equipped to handle the transition.

It's absolutely mind boggling that we still run him out there 5 times a week inthe two spot.

Pretty much this. But last year at 3rd Jorge made 20 errors at 3rd and Emilio is on pase to reach that. And why he is still hitting 2nd is beyond me especially since he can not bunt and has had problems moving Coghlan over.

So you say Andrew Miller is better than Volstad?

I think, in a battle of upsides, Miller wins... as of right now, it's still close though

Miller seems to have figured things out pretty nicely. And he has the capability of being other-worldly once he gets comfortable. Volstad is a good pitcher but he doesn't have dominant stuff.

To me only Johnson has dominant stuff. Volstads sinker , curve and change are very good but at just 22 hes learning to be consistent.

But I gotta admit, the lose because of him and win despite him posts are pretty funny.

Hey!! Jeremy finally got a hit. Now 1 for his last 24. Time for a party.

You're a funny man.

i cant go to any games but i was reading the attendence this morning and it said like 12,469 something like that it looked like more than that when i was watching the highlights on mlb network.
