Marlins win 5-2

WP: Nolasco (4-6)

LP: Berken (1-4)

S: Meyer (1)

2B: C Ross 2 (20)

RBI: H Ramirez 2 (42), C Ross 2 (43)

"14:38] Schnellders: so are u confident of a victory 2nite?

[14:39] PWG: Well, Berken (their guy) kinda sucks, and Ricky has been super solid since coming back, so yeah,

[14:39] PWG: but, we are the Marlins, so I wouldn't expect it to be easy

[14:40] Schnellders: hopefully ricky can go at least 7

[14:40] Schnellders: lots of arms used last night that shouldnt of been

[14:40] PWG: I don't like predicting things like this, but he'll go 7 IP and 2 runs"

Nolasco gets my vote, another quality start from our starters, gotta love it.

Let's sweep them tomorrow!!!!

Good to see ricky get his act together since his minor league stint. Boni has gotto be close to finding a seat on the bench. He did make a nice play at the end though and was heads up to score after he stole 2nd.

I think were now only 2 games back!!!!!!!

Some notes:

Ricky has been looking more and more like 2008 Nolasco since coming back from AAA. I no longer doubt that he will give us a quality outing.

Cody Ross had a great game with the bat. He needs to stay hot if we are going to pass the Phillies.

Same goes for Uggla.

Jeremy Hermida needs to wake up. He has been struggling real bad this home stand and striking out too much.

Bonifacio........well..........he sucks, yet he finally managed to use that speed of his to create a run.

Meyer for closer?

Meyer for closer?

I hope not.

But if he is, I hope Fredi says so b/c he's SP & RP eligible in my fantasy league. If he's picking up some saves in the process, he'll be on my team, in no time.

There should be a separate poll tonight, as well.

Who hustled less?

A: Hermida

B: Felix Pie

I pretty much agree with what everyone said. It's so great to have the piece of mind that Ricky is more than capable of quality outings now.

There should be a separate poll tonight, as well.

When did Hermida not hustle tonight?

Didn't look like he was going full-throttle when he got hosed by Markakis. Also the ball that dropped in RF in the 7th or 8th.

Yeah I actually noticed that too. I mean he was definitely running but it didn't seem like he put it in that extra gear he needed to be safe.

He hesitated rounding 3rd on a great play by Markakis.

He also let a ball drop right in front of him the inning after.

This coming from the guy who has supported Hermida a lot. I thought he half assed it tonight. Especially on the fly ball.

I disagree, I was actually getting ready to chew him up for it but he was busting it on the replay.

And yeah, I forgot about that dropped ball in the triangle, but you can easily blame that on Uggla (as I saw someone do) and Cody (who I blame, the CF always needs to take control on those). That was weak by all of them.

There should be a separate poll tonight, as well.

Agree...also he had a tiny bit of trouble rounding third. If he would've got to third in stride, then he might have had a chance at beating the throw. Again, Porter was the one that sent him and Markakis has a hose so maybe I shouldn't criticize him for what happened there. It just looked that he wasn't going balls out.

I think he was fine on that play, but I guess we'll disagree here. Sometimes you'll get thrown out by the guy who's been leading the AL in assists for the last 3 years.

Despite Bonifacio's sh*t.

Thats a cool image, but what happens if the opponent is the Mets?
