July 6, 200917 yr I have heard a lot about cameron maybin getting promoted but what about this kid. I dont know to much about him so it might sound stupid but what about moving him to RF after Hermida gets traded (assuming he does) hes batting .319 with 9 hr and 49 rbi. hes also only made 2 errors. I was just wondering because I seen he was going to the allstar gm and I never here about him.
July 6, 200917 yr I believe he's 32 years old or thereabouts, more of a journeyman minorleaguer than prospect. My philosophy is I don't care about age, rather what he can contribute but admittedly when you've played minor league ball for so long it's sort of like repeating a grade and getting easier each time. I'm sure he's very good at what he does but I'm reluctant to say that would translate to the major league level. Linsey, the Zephyr's 1st baseman falls into the same category.
July 6, 200917 yr He is a 32 year old career minor leaguer. There is a reason you've never heard of him. Secondly, Hermida would easily obliterate AAA pitching if you want to compare minor league stats to major leaguers.
July 6, 200917 yr As many have said, he's really old. Come on guys, why do so many people not do more than half a second of research? Half these threads are either about really old journeymen or 22-year-old's with 3 games in AA.
