I'm under the impression that those blackouts are a consequence of FOX having a contract with MLB specifying that they have sole ownership over broadcasting Saturday games that start before 7:05. The Marlins start their games before that time because they would rather start the Super Saturday concert earlier and sacrifice the ability for fans to watch the first hour of the game.

 

If the Marlins can't broadcast in that window, I don't see why the opposing team could. I'm not saying you're wrong; I'm just trying to understand the situation better.

That's something we can agree on. Even worse is at least one of the away interleague games is usually blacked out. That's something MLB has been pushing on us.

 

I have no problem with home games being blacked out. Wouldn't bother me a bit if they went some sort of NFL rules on that. A game dosen't sell x amount of tickets, x amount of hours before first pitch, it is blacked out locally for a radius of x miles. Of course that would never happen.

It has a lot more to do with the arguments you use to defend Bonifacio and denounce his "competition" (by the way, I'm still waiting for Gaby Sanchez to depart the team like you said he would).

 

Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, you typically lack sound logic when you present these cases and that's why you are routinely called out on it. You have difficulty separating personal attachment and talent consideration. In terms of talent, I think most players are treated fairly around here by our members.
